There are still a number of events taking place in August for R18 members if you haven't been to any of the recent events at Haigh Hall, ( German Classic Car Show) Heaves Hotel (KLMC Concours) , Dalmain Classic Car Show or the PCGB National event at Chateau Impney
Sunday 26th August - Ormskirk Motorfest.[/b] We are not having a display but you are all welcome to attend this event where both competition cars as well as classic car clubs will be in the town centre and Coronation Park. During the afternoon there are parade laps on the town centre roads making a circuit. As well as F1 cars there will be a large selection of racing motorcycle taking part together will all the display cars. Parking is as Edge Hill College and transport in via classic buses as all the town centre roads are closed to non competition traffic.

Friday 31st August "" Gaskell Motorbodies "Paul Swift Stunt Driving Night".[/b] Regional Member Nick Gaskell has organised a second event featuring Paul Swift the stunt driver as seen on Top Gear. The event will be much larger than last years and is being held at Junction 4, M65 near Ciceley Garage. As last year there will be a large raffle. 9th September "" Porsches at Arley Hall, Nr Macclesfield. [/b]North West Region are again organising this event and details are available in Porsche Post.
19th September - Monthly Meeting "" Garstang Golf Club. [/b]Talk by Phillip Shaw on his tour of the Alpine Passes.
As we are fast approaching Christmas Sue & Mac McLeod are again collecting items for the hampers for our mega raffle. Please bring your items to this September meeting as Sue needs to start putting things together as she and Mac won't be at the October meeting. Funds raised from this raffle are for R18 funds to help run the region and events such as Woodvale Rally and Porkers in the Trough.
The raffle will be drawn at the Christmas lunch in Sunday 16th December. Bookings are now being taken for this event and a menu and a booking form available direct from Sue & Mac.
