Auto dim mirror

This morning I found that the auto dimming rear view mirror appeared to have sprung a leak and had dripped onto the centre console. The goo is very corrosive so I quickly removed the mirror before too much damage happened. I see there is a company in the US who repair the mirrors for $99, is there such a company in the UK? Any advice gratefully appreciated.
I have also read that VW/Audi mirrors may fit, has anyone any experience of this?
Regards
Bruce

To answer my own question, I found a UK company who will repair the mirror for £150 or supply the glass for £99, the cheapest secondhand Porsche unit I could find was £175, but on a whim I tried one from a MKIV VW Golf and it fitted perfectly both in terms of electric connector and mounting bracket. These are readily available secondhand and I purchased one for £30 from EBay.
