Only 944 for sale on their website is this one: http://www.autofarm.co.uk/items/87?back=%2Fsales%2Ffront_engined
Give them a ring and ask.
That's a lot of money for a car that had it's belts done in 2002.
They are correct that it would make an "interesting" concourse project due to the non-standard interior....[&o]

We had a couple of threads about it back in March. They had two potential track cars for sale, one without an engine, but both needed a bit of work. The adverts disappeared a few months afterwards, I can only imagine they were sold. I can't remember if the cars ever actually appeared on their own website
I trawled back through the posts but couldn't find it, the car I'm refering to has a road test reprint on Rick Cannells site, I thought it may be a well known car but it seems it's not well known here.

Just so I can be sure, are you saying that the service at Camtune is not highly rated? I ask as, due to a recent house move, they have become my local specialist.
Thanks
To be fair people's mileages vary and you might find someone who is happy with them, but if there is someone then they are pretty quiet about it. Most of the bigger specialists have some bad reviews plus some good ones to balance it out. I tend to think one bad outweighs a lot of good, though you need to bear in mind that people tend to post more readily about bad experience than perfectly acceptable ones. On the other hand a lot of people will happily recommend something which they have used that isn't actually very good simply because they have never experienced anything better (people who recommend EBC brake pads are a case in point), so you need to take a good review with a pinch of salt sometimes.
The bottom line is that the big specialists with the advertising budgets don't really know nor care about the 944 these days. In fact given that the guys who do care about the 944 seem to be busy enough without much significant advertising at all you do have to wonder why the bigger players can't fill their workshops with word of mouth and repeat business - they aren't going to spend money advertising if they don't need to after all.

Still, I'm doing most of the work on my car myself so I will only be using any specialist for very specialist work, or annual servicing, so it's not an immediate priority.

Camtune and GTOne are in your kneck of the woods. If I was in your area I would move house rather than use either of them. I have tried them both when I had a 944 and both of them showed they knew as much about a 944 as I knew about quantum physics.
Then I took the car to Northway and a non start problem turned into a £2k bill for what turned out to be a bad rotor arm! (wild goose chase)
Now I have used Jon Mitchell Porsche in Bournemouth for the last 5 or 6 years (I now own a Boxster but thinking of getting a 944 turbo as a toy), he was actually recommended by a friend of my fathers called Richard Lloyd (Ex Porsche Le Mans - now passed on) and was seconded by Derek Bell who I met at Goodwood festival when I was admiring his 924 CGT! Aparently in internal Porsche factory motorsport circles Jon is well known it would seem.
Only problem is, they are on the south coast in Bournemouth which is not too bad for me being in Hampshire, but more of a trek for you if your near Camtune.
