Autoglym roof cleaner?

Hi Ian, I was going to buy the Renovo based on recommendations but mate in the work gave me the autoglym cleaner and reproofer and it came up real nice.

Thanks all, does it "strip out" the old waterproofer first? Then reapply with the second bottle..?

Hi Ian

Yes, I have used it both my 2000 balck boxster hood and my wifes 05 Mini Cooper Cab, and it works well. I did find however a small nail brush was more effective than the agitator they suppled in the kit, but that was because both roofs were heavily soiled.

Be sure to wash the cleaner out thoroughly, and mask off against overspray before applying the protector, and all will be good.

ps. It does need to dry and it can take a while if the sun is not shining, so pick your day well.

Hope this helps.

Hi, Just treated my boxster 987 - the roof came up like new with Auto Gylms kit. 1st use the cleaner and then the water proofing spray. Lots of videos on Youtube if you want to see other pro's application methods... really easy tho.

Ive used several different products over the years as I've had 5 convertibles... this is up there with the better ones and is not bad price wise. Bobbles the water off great and is as good as OPC water repellant deal at a snip of the cost... save yourself £100 + [;)]

Mrs Melv used on her Alfa Spider -no probs and really seemed to shrug rainwater off after treatment
