Autostrasse

Well, speaking to a colleague today I was informed Autostrasse are finally shutting their doors, then I bumped into Ken later on, enquired and was told the deal should see them shut their doors next week.

Shame. I used them for a while too. Did a good job at a sensible price. Didn't they do a lot of work for Paul Stevens preparing their cars for sale too?

Cheers
Mick

Just had the same conversation when I rang them to arrange a service yesterday. They suggested Chris at the Cowdray Car Centre in Colchester going forward - I don't know, I had a look on CCC's website and there was a lot about Bentleys etc. 964s are a bit older and one of the attractions of using Autostrasse was they knew the car inside out, and could source all of the bits (even the bits which are supposed to be no longer available, like the heater servos).

Ken and Alan were "getting on a bit " but Harvey was just a Boy! Perhaps he was unable to find enough reddies to go it alone.
Pity.

Alan, looks to have replied on Pistonheads that business as usual.....

that being so, all is good in the world again.

Yes, seems the business was bought by the guy running the business in the unit next door, so quality Porsche servicing in this part of Essex will continue.
