Steve Tomlinson has put together a choice of two routes kicking off from Wetherby Services at 10.00 am on the Sunday morning with Lunch around 12.30. We have a choice of either the Blue Lion at East Witton link here or The Bull at Broughton link here.

The Blue Lion run is about 80 miles around Skipton, Masham, East Witton, Kettlewell and back to Skipton with a coffee stop morning and afternoon.

The Bull run is shorted and takes in Pately Bridge, Grassington with lunch at 12.30.

Please sign up below and indicate a preference of route. We will need to book in advance and I assume that the Blue Lion is going to be very popular. Both websites contain sample menus and give a good idea of cost.

Sounds good to me. I don't know anywhere in that area so either is fine for me...having said that, the more driving the better so I'll opt for the longer route!

Would like to have attended this run but this is the day that Jane gets to drive a 16 wheeler at Elvington so will need to fill up on bacon and eggs first!!! Hope you all enjoy it. John

Thinking about this one at the moment. Is there any chance of a meeting point at Skipton or thereabouts. It seems a bit pointless for us to travel 40 miles to Wetherby then another 30 to Skipton when we could just travel 35 miles to Skipton!

Ian, I don't see why we can't work something in.

The Lion at East Witton has been booked so any one else wishing to join in will be subject to places being availble in the pub which is looking fully booked at the moment.

I will place route maps up today or tomorrow.

This is the route for next Sunday, I will print of a set of maps to hand out on the morning. Steve I have slightly changed the start of your route to avoid going through Harrogate.

2. At Boroughbridge roundabout straight on.
3. At the next roundabout turn left for Ripon on the B6265.
4. Past the race course turn right onto the A61 Ripon-by-pass.
5. At roundabout with A6108 turn left heading for Masham.

7. Leave Masham on the A6108 back toward Ripon and pick up the B6268 for Bedale
8. From Bedale take the A684 to Leyburn
9. A mile before entering Leyburn turn left onto the A6108.
10. Follow the A6108 through Middleton to East Witton and stop for lunch at the Blue Lion.

11. Head out of East Witton on the Coverham road (this is the road that runs along side the green).

Choices here of stopping in Skipton or heading home. Dependant on time as the shops will close at 4.00pm.
