I have been loking for a cost effective way of connection an MP3 player and DAB radio to the existing PCM 2.0 unit.
As I don't use the car much and have already had a bad experience with a Dension unit (and even worse experience with their technical dept), I didn't want to spend the earth.
Having looked at alternatives, I have just fitted the following:
http://www.xcarlink.co.uk/home.php
This is a MOST compatible interface that allows users to connect via 4 connections.
This is very similar to the Dension unit however, it only has phono type connectors that can be converted to 3.5mm connections with suitable leads.
This replaces the CD changer and cannot be used with the OE changer - but it must be enabled as this unit emulates the CDC.
The 4 connectors are named, Aux1, Aux2, DVD and DVB.
They are selectable by using the track select menu or using the < or > buttons on the PCM unit.
For £120 I think it is a good cost effective solution if you're not too bothered about full i-pod control via the head unit.
And their technical/customer service is spot on as well.
