Anyone know how difficult it is to change the drive belt on 987 3.2S?
My mate has been quoted £90 by PC. Belt price £38. All plus VAT
The quote for my 997 is ££60.

There's a little more work involved in the 987 as the engine is the other way round so you have to
raise the top to the service position
remove the storage box and carpet
remove the screws under the carpet that are at the top of the carpet on the bulkhead behind the seats
remove the carpet on the bulkhead behind the seats
undo half a dozen bolts holding the access panel on
remove access panel

Then you can get to the belt.
I think it's probably easier to get to on the 997

i just bought a new belt from Porscheshop.co.uk and it cost me £19, (it came today, I reckon i should be able to do it myself in an hour tomorrow morning.... Will take some photos and post them if you like?

Mines a 2006 987

Very good ... how's the knuckles (Boxster pulleys have a tendency of biting) ??
