Aviemore Hotels?

Can anyone recommend a hotel in Aviemore that has secure, or at least safe, parking for a Porsche?
I can't see it being a problem...but best to check. I know it's sad...but I get really touchy about the thought of leaving my car in a hotel car park...and no point in going if I'm not going to sleep at night.

Also, a hotel with car parking access that isn't likely to rip the Aerokit from lip off a lowered 911!

Any thoughts / comments appreciated...

Thanks,
Glen.

Most of the top hotels are owned by the MacDonald group they have 4 in the main Aviemore centre from 2* to 4* I go up there every year as I have a timeshare at the Coylumbridge which is very safe only problem is they have speed bumps around the hotel area, most parts in Aviemore are safe even the small B@B have off street parking .avoid the Cairngorm hotel opposite the railway station it has a very busy car park as they do great meals and is always busy people comming and going ,there is a timeshare Scandinavian Village in the main centre as well a Dalfabar which is 1 ml from the centre depends when you are going as it tends to be a busy place all year round ,if you want I could give you some details of places to visit as the area around is stunning no speed cameras unless you use the main A9 watch out on that road as unmarked police cars patrol it 24/7 as it is 60 mph .

I know it's not in Aviemore but we stayed in Edinburgh last year at Knight Residence and it was excellent, gated private parking right by Grassmarket so very central, I just thought I'd mention it as it's rare we find a hotel we can reccomend!

Thanks Brian,

Are the speedbumps aerokit friendly in your view?

Thanks about the heads up regarding the Cairngorm Hotel. I had considered that after my last day visit.
Sounds like one of the MacDonald Group hotels will be just fine...as long as it's not goung to cost me a front spoiler!

I'm not that far away from Aviemore anyway and know of the great roads - hence the reason to be up there in the first place...but perhaps you could give me some ideas on good places to eat out for a couple?

Thanks again...

Glen.

I've stayed at the Nethy Bridge hotel - http://www.strathmorehotels.com/neth_site/index.htm. It's a little out of the centre of Aviemore, but very quiet, so it should be safe for your pride and joy. We were there around Christmas and I don't recall speed bumps, but we were in my better halfs RAV-4 which isn't susceptible to the things..

No problems with parking there, veyr quiet little village and the hotel is right at the end of it. Parking is outside and no issues - only problem is the hotel caers for a lot of coach firms, so it tends to be full of retired folk.

Ah, it was somewhere between Christmas and New Year when I was there, and I was gearing up for New Year's Eve, so I was a bit too merry to notice the other guests.

So look out for the zimmers parked next to your car .if you are not bothered not being in the centre Nethy Bridge is a nice part .the speed bumps are not to big so should not be a problem,I tend to drive flat out over then a speed in my Skoda[:D][:D]
