Axle Stands

Hi - I need some advice please re using axle stands on my 987.

I managed to puncture both offside wheels last night and need to remove both wheels for repair (tyres were shredded and had to get AA recovery last night. Alloys also damaged).

I've read the archives on where to place the axle stands - my question is is it safe to just use them on one side of the car, or should I place them on all 4 corners (I.e. Support the whole car)?

I suspect the car will need to be one them for a week at the vey least, so I want to be sure it's safe.

Many thanks
Mark

If the wheels & tyres are supporting one side (Handbrake on & chocked) & axle stands supporting the other I don't see why it would not be safe.
