Hi
Not on the Register check with DVLA.

I hope you are not in a hurry if you use the DVLA it has taken me 9 weeks to find some information on a car, They say it should take 4-5 weeks normally

Just read 'Backfire - A Passion for Cars and Motoring' by Alan Clark (late Tory MP, car enthusiast and raconteur). He collected the car from Stuttgart, named it 'Little Silver' and it is referenced many times in the book with a few interesting photos. I wondered if someone owned it but wasn't aware of its history.

Alan Clark used that car regularly, and it is referred to in his Diaries as 'Little Silver'.

He frequently refers to his journey times from late night sittings in Westmninster to his home - Saltwood Castle nr Hythe in Kent - somewhat rapid[8D]

I know he bumped the front wing but considered it a 'war wound' - and didn't want it repaired as it was part of its history - and originality was key. I had a 356, he'd bought new ('Little Red'), and I don't think he was too impressed that I'd had it over-restored and modified [8|].

I think his son, James (former Gazelle pilot), probably inherited his car collection, including 'Little Silver'.

Would he sell it? Who knows - his wine collection was auctioned by Christies a few years ago.

Alan Clark "Backfire": great read. His attitude to cars was drive 'em, don't polish 'em.
Loved his 3.2 carrera
