Baby for Sale....

Wow, I thought that was the most outrageous ploy to keep the Porker I had ever seen, but now I understand.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]In all seriousness it looks a nice car (I'm a sucker for a Cobalt cab) and if it was a Turbo I might well bite your arm off. Good luck with it.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Mmmmmm nice. And it's done less than 100k [:D]

But you might be being a bit hasty here Hip' 944s have great seats in the back for small people and not having much lugage space means you can't carry very many brightly coloured plastic things - which is good. And don't forget that soft toys are great for stuffing into places to stop other things rattling.

Hipster - I sympathise with you. I have managed to keep the missus off my back for 14 Months now. I think I could be on borrowed time too if the wallet is bruised any more.

Good luck with everything.

If your desperate to keep it and lets face it, it has an appeal about it, you could always come out with

"Phew, just think of the problems if we owned a Boxster" [;)]

I managed to keep my 944 on the basis that the wifes car (a 4 month old Mini) should be sold for something more sensible since it's her that will be spending most of the day trundling the tot around while i'm at work. I have no need for 7 seats and a high driving position for the daily grind to work, so she's getting a 52 plate Focus so I can fund some more 944 mods!! Anyway good luck with the sale.

does anyone know if there is there a good quality, safe baby seat for new borns that will fit in the back of a 944???

Not sure about baby seats, but I can confirm the 944 is an excellent family car when they get a little older. Comes fitted with child-seats in the back already!

Ours are now 5 and 8 and love the porker. Can get everyone in and loads of ***t in the boot too.

What you need to do is sell the cab...... and get a coupe. Jobs a goodun [8D]

I don't understand why anyone with kids would want to get a people carrier or 4x4. I have two kids, one 4 years old and one 8 months old. 95% of my driving is alone so why should buy someing bigger and more prictical for that 5%.

By the way the wife wants to change her car next year for a 406 coupe so we will have two impracticle cars.

The Britax Ranger fits (in coupes at least) as I understand it, but don't ask me what age it's for.

He's only been in the car a couple of times and he in his carrier in the front and the wife and daughter sit in the back.

My daughter loves my car and once when I had to go out she wanted to come with me, but when she saw I was going in the wife's 406 diesel she decided to stay home.

I have a booster seat in the front of the car for when I pick her up from nursery but if she sits in the back I have a cushion for her to sit on (naughty I know).

Adrian at Exeter OPC sourced 2x Kiddie seats for Tracey's ex-boss when he bought his Turbo Cab. So there are options available.

I bet it is easier getting kiddies in and out of a child seat from a cabriolet than a coupe. Our family car is a Volvo C70 coupe and I have to get in the back to get toddler in and out.
One other matter - the driver seats in the 944 may not move foward enough to swing the little one in. [8|]

My twin girls (age 3) love being in the back of what they call "the windy car" - I hope that this is a reference to when the roof is down [;)]

my dad used to squeeze me and my 2 brothers under the hatch in the boot of his AC Aceca...them were the days
