Baby seat advice needed for 996

Hi chaps

We have recently seen the arrival of our first child (baby Rufus who is now 7 weeks), I am looking for a rear seat baby seat for him from 9 months onwards (post winter), I know the Mama and Papa Sicuro is a seat of choice but would the linked seat fit (sorry if I can't insert links, please remove if this is the case)

It says it will fit rear of 997 so I assumed it would fit rear 996?

I don't want that nasty Porsche brand one with the the tray in the middle so if this wont fit is my only other option the sicuro?

Cheers Tom

I'm long past child seat recommendation (last onr I bought was for a 1989 Audi 90Q) but congratulations on the new arrival Tom!

Rear seats are the same, I used Maxi Cosi for mine when babies, now that they've grown I use the Porsche seats. :)

That seat looks quite nice, but the base looks quite wide at the back. I would ask the seller to confirm the width of the rear of the base. Check that measurement against the width of your rear seat when you have your seat bases removed.

If it won't fit, buy a Mamas & Papas Pro Tec for £30.

Cheers,

Neil.
