BABY SEAT FOR 993

Andrew, I went to the Quickfit guy in Stanmore. Very knowledgeable guy and was a big help. My kids are 3 and 5 yrs and they are both in Maxi-cosi rodi seats that we bought from there. Seats fit very well with no belt modifications (different story if you have a cabriolet) and the kids have no problems falling asleep in them. The seats will also adapt as they grow older. I definitely recommend him as your first call.

David.

thanks for that - will give him a call - need to get something sorted for a few months time so i can hang onto the car . I can feel the pressure building !

Hi Andrew, it's a pain. all seats that would have fitted are discontinued. the only two i've found that are a. safe and b. fit are the Maxi cosi Rodi (only suitable for kids above 15kg, or b. the mammas & pappas sicurio. The latter can't be found anywhere. The guys at Quickfit, who were really helpful told me they were currently in the proces of trying to get the mould from a norwegian company for the mammas & pappas seat so they can start to manufactur their own, but no joy currently.
I bought my 993 before looking into this too seriously and as such my son (4.5yrs) travels very happily in the Rodi, while my daughter (18months) is stuck with mum. Still, me and the boy have had some good trips! Still loooking []. So... if your child is over 2.5yrs ish then the Rodi is great and like someone else here said, it seperates out as a booster for when they are a bit bigger. Good luck. Tim
