Back box part no's

I have a pair of replacement back boxes which I brought some months ago for my 1999 3.4 when I realised that the current ones were not much longer for this world, but I'm getting a bit jittery as to whether I've got the correct parts. They seem to be numbered 996/23 996.111.132.83 17/09/03
Can anyone reassure me that I don't have a pair of 3.6 ones?

Hi,

Not sure about the part numbers but I have a 3.4 and retro fitted a used PSE sytem which fitted fine.

I didn't know it was from a 3.6 at the time and later discovered it when I was told by a mechanic.

Apparently it fits fine but the tail pipes stick out more as, I would assume, the 3.6's rear bumper is deeper.

Both back boxes should have part numbers of the form 996.111.xxx.xxx
Are you sure the one you think is numbered 996.111.132.83 isn't actually 996.111.132.63 ?

I can't find any reference to a back box with a part number ending with .83

996.111.132.63 is the near side standard back box for the C4S model....
