Licence to 2026 revoked -

NIMBY's ! []

Well, briefly (but my english is soooo pooor[:(]):

A belgian administration stop the running of the track for any use till 2026.
The reason: neighborhoud find that it was too noisy.

It may take a second or 2 for the translation geeks to do their bit.

How long has circuit been there and how long ago did the people who are protesting buy their properties? It's like Croft all over again but much more important. It'll be Castle Combe and Goodwood next.

Tree huggers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This may be relevent as the noise study may not be that comprehensive?

"The State Council added the following, regarding noise pollution in the area: 'If it exists, the study of environmental impact is seriously inadequate and incomplete."

Noise restrictions may not be the worst compromise, most of us are already "steering" around the 105dB limits at most UK circuits ...

But possibly more complicated for the full-on race cars ...

Limit was 130dB at Spa! [8|] Looks like the party's over. [:(] Just have to take the big boys toys to the desert circuits! [:D]
