Balance belt pulley!

Hi all, am doing a set of front seals, belts and water pump on a guys turbo. Got all the front stuff off the car and got the puller out to remove the balance gear. Was really stiff to get off, they usually slide off easily after cracking them. Turns out the pulley had been put on 180 degrees out and tightened on so forming its own keyway and mangling the woodruff key in the crank! Will post a pic later. Would explain why the balance belts pulleys were slightly out and there was vibration from the engine!!!

Crank was OK, the Woodruff key took most of the damage but I have a nice spare one to put in. A new gear from the OPC was only £33 plus VAT. Pic of the gear below. The slot at 12 o'clock was the new one, the one at 6 o'clock is the original slot for the key! At least the gear has not been spinning badly on the shaft!
