and the insurance is up for renewal on the TT and 64RS this week so I could do without all the cars.
Great car though (Helen's old one) and enjoyed my fleeting 12 months with it....never expected to enjoy it as much as I did...certainly helped cement my appreciation of the model having only had a 968CS in the past.
Nice reliable car for someone thats for sure....

My S2 has over 190K on the clock, has never had, or needed, any major engine work, still goes like a train and I don't reckon I've spent as much as £8K in the last 5 years.
My 964 had had the necessary engine work done before I brought it, but that is a known problem. I've not heard of 944's needing rebuilds and certainly not at that low mileage.
When I hear of something like this I always ask the question - why?
What is better a 10K engine of known provenance or a 180K engines that hasn't needed any work (yet)?
As I said in the other thread - I think it is sad when a car gets shunted around over such a sort period of time. It needs a good home where it will be appreciated.
The strange thing about 944 ownership is we have such a cracking bunch of people who get involved and get together because of the cars I would find it very difficult to get rid of mine now.........but then I'm probably just sad. [8|]

These cars are old and they are driven enthusiastically quite often [] - things happen. Even the best maintained car in the world can have something wear out, a belt snap, a camchain stretch and all of a sudden it's rebuild time []. The point is that between them Helen and Jason have spent much money refreshing just about everything you could want refreshing and it's all in the last 10k miles.
If only it wasn't one of those undesirable red ones
