Apparently it was owned by Water Rohrl and bootlid signed by Butzi Porsche and has a NGT CHASSIS NUMBER having been delivered to Hong Kong and then converted from left hand drive and then went back to the factory for a sun roof and comfort interior where it had the accident in the canteen car park by Derek Bell reversing his 962c.
 
That explains the value. Buy 'em now. Prices of Carrera 4's and targas next to explode. [:D]
 
I remember seeing this car up for sale when i was searching last year. Such a shame to see it in this condition now. I still have the pics from the old ad. Obviously the price is a mis-print, but it's still big money at 15k!!
 
Still runs and drives, but oil has drained out of front radiator!!!
How much oil is left in the engine?
 
My understanding is the front oil cooler circuit opens under thermostatic control, so when cold the engine circulates oil back into the tank, when hot the cooling circuit opens. So if the engine remains at low temp, it won't leak any more oil, if it gets hot, it will empty the dry sump tank content onto the floor, and wreck the crank[:(]
