A visit to Batemans Brewery, Wainfleet
I have organised a trip to Batemans Brewery at Wainfleet for R4 members.

Please note that space is limited to 23 spaces,

The tour starts at 12.30, and will last 60-80 minutes, so all attendees need to be on site by 12 noon. I am also trying to arranging a local pub for a late lunch following the tour for those that want to eat.

"Based in an old windmill dating back two centuries and overlooking the River Steeping, Batemans Brewery is one of the oldest and most picturesque breweries in the country.

Beginning with the Victorian Brewhouse, where much of the equipment is made of brass or copper followed by the magnificent new Brewhouse nicknamed the Theatre of Beers'. All tours are conducted by an experienced and entertaining guide.
Opened in 2002 'The Theatre of Beers' was named after the famous Manchester United stadium 'The Theatre of Dreams'. Fans of the football club have their names printed on bricks in the walls within the stadium, similar to the printed bricks in our new brewhouse walls."

Cost: Adult (includes a sample) £4.95
