Battery Change Over - and which make ?

Hi all,
Seems like winters here.....!
Went to start this morning.........no life what so ever !
Can anyone recommend a make of battery and possible costs..
Also when changing the battery does this affect the electrics / management system etc. or do you simply take one out and put one in ?
As this is my 1st Porsche ( 944 Lux '87 - 2.5 ) any help would be appreciated.

Replacement is very straightforward. Just remove the original and fit the new one.

Not dissimilar to any replacement then; as replacement generaly indictes that you don't leave the original where it is. [:D]

Sorry Andrew, I'm being silly. Any more of this nonsense and I'll have to have myself replaced.
 
Make sure you get the one with the vent hose! The Halfords battery guide lists the correct one, I got one of these myself last winter. No problems changing over, just needed to reset the clock and retune the radio.
