I'm thinking of investing in a battery charger for my 997 to trickle charge it during the winter. What's the best one to go for + where's the best place to purchase it + what's the likely cost please?

Yes Simon, but I had an intermittent problem with my adapter (annoyingly, can't seem to trace the source of the problem.!) and have reverted to connecting directly to the battery.

I actually went for the MXS5.0 as it offers a more sophisticated conditioning function - completely recovered the lawnmower starter battery i was going to have to throw out.
Works find on the 911 also. My dealer also put in writing that connecting the eyelets permanently to the battery will not void my warranty, although for the most part i use the cigarette charge socket,
£59.95 on Amazon, and a few allegedly genuine ones for a fiver less (by the time you've added P&P) on eBay.
