battery charging through cigarette lighter socket

Greetings ladies and gents

Does anyone know if you can charge the battery through the cigarette lighter socket on the 924S since I believe you need a special attachment for the 928

Speaking of cigarette lighter sockets where is this situated on the 924S as I can't see this on mine below the dash, or would I need to install one as an extra.

Thanks
Shad

Its located centrally on the upright part of the centre console, above the radio apeture and below the three instruments.

You will also need to wire the socket differently as , if its the same as mine, it is disconnected from the battery when the ignition is switched off

Mnay thanks for your helpful comments gents.
The lighter element is non-functional but I tested a mobile phone charger which seems to light up with the ignition turned off. Lucky me!!
Cheers
Shad
