Battery conditioner / charger

I recently had a new Moll battery fitted by my OPC 6 months ago and over the last month or so the car has been slow to turn over again. I take the car out a couple times a week for various driving routes as normal still. Does this sound like the alternator failing? Also, does anyone routinely use a battery charger / conditioner like the CTEK ones advertised in the owners magazine or are these just if you store your car over the winter months etc?

If you are taking it for a run twice a week, you definitely shouldn't need a battery conditioner.

What is the voltmeter reading when the engine is running? If it is c.14-15 Volts, then the alternator is probably charging OK. That being the case, I would first get the battery load tested, and if that checks out OK then it sounds like a parasitic drain somewhere. The drain could be the alternator regulator pack, which is quite common, but if it is charging OK, then it would be best to get the battery itself checked. The Porsche/Moll ones aren't the best quality. Probably the accountant's choice of battery.....

Have used the CTEK battery conditioner since 2008. Always connected when the car is garaged for the night. Recommended.

If your car is not under a Porsche warranty, do yourself a favour and buy a Bosch S5 silver battery and never worry about batteries again...

It was running at around 13-14V when it ran last week, but I have just tried to start it now as the car has been standing for a week while I was on holiday and it won't start now at all, so I need to take it to the PC next week as the battery is still under warranty with them. I thought the Moll would be the best being original Porsche fitment, but it appears Bosch are superior then, I will know for next time!
