the batery has gone flat on my 964,not using it much now.can anybody tell me the best battery cond and where to get it from.

I can recommend the CTEK 3600 for your C4 which you can use when the battery is still on the car and connected up. It comes with crocodile clips and also more permanent eyelet type connections which you leave attached and then connect up the conditioner to this short lead and then set the mode of charge etc. Simples. Check on Amazon as I recently saw them for £42 or so which is a good price. Also check on E-bay of course. Good luck!

Me again! Forgot to say that if you're not using the car at all just plug in to the CTEK and forget about it until you need to drive the car again. BUT, as it says in my signature drive it as often as you can, as they don't like being left too long without going out. Ps. my name is Brian Williams. Bye!

Thanks for that advice - I did search the forum before posting but found nothing - must try harder!
I will do as most do, attach the leads perminatly to the battery so that a quick connection is possible - that way it should always be in use. Of course what I should do is drive the car more often!
As an asside, when I reconnect my hopefully rechgarged battery, is a drive of 15 minutes needed to reset everything such as the DME - also my radio will be useless I assume?

[FONT=verdana, geneva"]Yep, a 'spirited drive' (as often quoted) after 10 mins of warm up should set things up nicely. I last did mine at Curburough sprint circuit so was ideal - throttle response was so much sharper.

Doesn't reset 'the' DME I believe as that is something different. Other volatile settings would have disappeared and your new 'driving style' should be the replacement config.

No doubt and hopefully others will add more detail if necessary..

The Accumate is a popular battery conditioner too. Had mine for 4 years. Advertised in Porsche Post
