I have to leave car in garage for two months (just as Spring arrives) and want to buy a battery conditioner.

Since this is the same as the Porsche supplied item I assume the cig lighter or power socket is always live to take the charge from the conditioner on all Boxsters? I know the alarm deactivates after one week but assume this does not affect charging via the Cig.lighter or power socket.ORIGINAL: Black80XSA CTEK3600 about £55 with the ciggy lighter adaptor (check your ciggy lighter is live all the time before you buy the extra adaptor as not all cars are), or if you want the same thing but with a LIDL or ALDI sticker on it then it'll cost you £12. I have the CTEK 3600 and the ALDI Tronic T4X version - they work exactly the same.
You'd think so but its not the csase - i think the permanently live ciggy lighter came in with the facelift so around MY03. I'm sure Mark or Richard will be able to confirm or correct me. Its easy enough to check though by just plugging an accessory into it (sat nav, phone charger etc etc)ORIGINAL: chrisHSince this is the same as the Porsche supplied item I assume the cig lighter or power socket is always live to take the charge from the conditioner on all Boxsters?
