at the end of may i last used the 993
all fine
then after my hols last wednesday battery
almost flat charged it for 3 hours before it would start
did a 60 mile + drive , tested it showed 12 volts +
over the next 20 hours it dropped to 11 volts +
it was then charged for a couple of hours
it started & was tested charging was ok
when switched off battery voltage dropped like a stone
so got a new one on friday fitted it
& it started ok for four times over next 24 hrs
then from sat 6pm till mon 7.20 it had gone down to 11 +
guess what it would not start
so has anyone got any ideas what i should look for / do /
get someone in ?

one thing thats got me a bit puzzled is the interior light it works in the on & off position ok.
but middle position it stays on ?
but over last few months its been in the off position
i have looked to see why it wont go out with door closed
ive even sat in car with it on & locked car it stays on
so may this be something even if its off ????????????????
im not using it for a couple of weeks now i just need it sorted
asap
thanks in advance.

If the interior light stays on it is indicating something is not closed! Sunroof? Door? Bonnet? Engine hatch?

It stays on because one of the above isn't telling the system it's shut.

That will drain the battery in a few hours.

tried a few things but ended up disconnecting bonnet bulb
the interior goes on n off when locking unlocking
so it looks like the bonnet lock switch yes ?
but i cannot see how it comes apart does it ?
or do i have to get the whole bit ?
lock n switch.
its like a thin black plastic switch.

I had this issue and it was just corrosion in the connector at the bonnet lock.
Just unplugged it, clean the connections and then it was fine

after taking the lower catch off & tried locking it
it all started working properly
so just gotta put all back together
so all ended fine thanks.
