hi its me again i have been having problems with my battery going flat i have put a new one on and it is still going flat over night i have noticed when i connect the battery leed s to the battery i can hear a king of buzzing noice just behing the battery and when i disconnect the leeds it goes i have checked that every thing is turned off when the battery is connected but i can hear that buzzing all the time so there must be something draining the battery off any one have any idies thanks

Interior fans on?
I had this with a 944 - the ignition switch was not disconnecting the power, so the fans would drain the battery.

thanks mark that just sounds right it is like a fan noise any idies what i need to or what i need to do to fix the problem

I needed a new ignition switch to fix mine. But it was diagnosed and fixed by the guys at GT-One as part of a service.

I had a battery going flat overnight problem .... even wih a new battery ..... like Mark has already said, it was solved by fitting a new Ignition Switch

thanks for your reply when you say ignition switch wear abouts is it or will i need the complete ignition barrel with a new key please let me know thanks

Sorry for not getting back sooner .....

Its just a switch ... not the whole barrel and key .... so relatively cheap ..... was about £25 for the part .... unfortunately 3/4 hour labour at Porsche rates ! Still it fixed the problem

Cheers

Tim
