Battery Replacement and window drop failure

The battery on my 996 has recently been replaced. Everything is functioning except the windows which neither drop when you try to close/open the doors or operate when inside the car. It has been suggested that the car needs to stand for a while until it goes into electrical shut down and that might then rectify the problem. I don’t think it’s a microswitch problem as it affects both doors. Does anyone have experience of this and how it can be resolved?[:(]

Hi, I had the same issue when I replace end my battery, even though I did attempt to put a secondary supply on! To sort the problem I re programmed the windows and sun roof in my case. Hold the window down button for 10 sec and then up for 10, that reset window drop on door open for me.
Good luck

I had something similar when my battery was changed, although it also affected the central locking and alarm.

That turned out to be a blown fuse.

Update
I have tried the suggestion of holding down the window rocker switches, with the ignition on/engine running but there is no power to the windows. Is this indicative of a blown fuse?
