Apologies if this question appears twice.

I have a non techy friend with a Boxster that needs a new battery. They are at Halfords where the chap is asking what spec they need. Brilliant...

It's a 2003 non-S

All help gratefully accepted.

Bosch batteries have a 4 or 5 year warranty. Had my older one replaced free of charge after 4 years when it wouldn't hold a charge

Bought mine in Costco. Rarely do you get a keen price at Halfords and I avoid them if possible

Thanks all. Halfords was very convenient which is why it was picked. I agree they are less than brilliant and that's if you can even find a member of staff...
And eventually Halfords were able to work out what the right battery was and they had one in stock. Not a Bosch unfortunately but probably better than what was in there before which was a Lion if that means anything to anyone.

James,

Have a look on here: http://beta.eurocarparts.com/

Just type in the car's details to see what's available. Around 70Ah seems to be about right.

Just out of interest I put in my 993 details to look at the battery recommendations and the general list of parts and items included anti freeze! Perhaps it is to put into the washer bottle.
