Battery tray prob

Has anyone come across blocked drainage holes underneath the fuse box and, on left hand drive cars ,the battery tray?
My CS has this prob, and on the battery side has started to leak into the cabin.
I'm not expecting a 'quick fix' but would like to know of any improvements I can make?
 
Yup it will be full of leaves,

Hole each side hard to describe where they are but they are basically in the back corners I don't have any photos to help out, but it is a common problem, that and the roof drains if you have a sun roof.
