Battery trickle charger

Hi sorry if this as been covered previously.

I've taken the plunge and bought the porsche trickle charger. The connection plugs directly into the socket in the passenger footwell but I'm not sure what to do with the cable as shutting the door onto it doesn't seem right or is this okay to do ?

It's not a problem. I have had a Ctek charger the last four and half years, car is on charge all the time. The power lead just traps in the door rubbers so it does not damage anything.
