Man Shot as Burglars Steal Porsche

By Dave Higgens, PA

A 39-year-old man was in a critical condition today after he was shot during a burglary in which a new sports car was stolen.

South Yorkshire Police said officers found the injured man at a house in the prosperous village of Bradfield, near Sheffield, just after 2.30am today.

He is in the intensive care unit of the city's Northern General Hospital.

The force has issued an urgent appeal for the public to look out for the Porsche Boxster car which was taken from the address.

From another story the registration is (was?) YJ05 HWE
If you see it I suggest you call the Police - and leave well alone![&o]

Poor chap i hope he pulls through ok.
Set of B#####ds I hope the Police chatch up with them but I bet by now the car will have a new identity. The Police should take a look at the CCTV in the show room where the car was sold to him this must have been planed before hand.

I'm not a big fan of the detective genre but I am intrigued as to how you arrived at that conclusion? [&:]

JCB..

agree with JCB. can't see the connection with the dealers as i presume the theifs would have got the keys off the owner when they shot him..[][][]

poor man..hope his ok.

maybe we(as a club) should send him a get well soon card or something.[8|]

The car has been recovered about 10 miles away .

Not much consolation though.

Regards

Bob

From what I hear they just took the car to escape after trying to steal cash. I had my R32 stolen in November at gun point in my house after a knock on the front door at 6.00PM on a Sunday tea time. Took the Golf, laptop, two phones, wallet.

The old bill advised if I wanted a fast car to get a two seater as they are less disarable, apparantly Cayennes, Range Rovers, X5 are the most stolen cars, good for doing crime in and pretty quick and disarable.
