Has anyone fitted a Becker 7990 head unit into their cars. Im looking for a Bluetooth phone solution and this seems a good way to go without having extra displays speakers ect. My MY02 Boxster S, has Bose fitted and after fiddling with the amp it looks like its wired and not the optical version. Does anyone have any ideas, opinions on this solution. Also:
Would this work as a direct replacement for CDR22
Does the display invert to match the dash and AC control.
will it work with the Bose system

Should be a stright swap out, assuming when you say your CDR22 unit is wired to the amp, you mean by RCA preout type plugs. Generally only the CDR-23 causes issues due to the fibre optic link to the amp
 
It does not use RCA connectors, but seems to have a dedicated loom which connects via 2 large multi pin connector blocks into the amp and then onto another box of tricks which piggy backs the amp. All look to be wired connections though.

Yes, i forgot they use the various ISO Connectors on the back - the 7990 should be the same as they are international std wiring
