Help,
I have just fitted a becker CDR 22 into my 944 and the display is poor unless
you look at the stereo from above ? can this be altered or display changed.

Hello and welcome.

Your question is more about the radio than about 944's, and it's not a standard radio in the 944. You'd probably do better asking somewhere like talkaudio.co.uk.

Best of luck with finding the answer. Beckers are meant to be lovely radios.

Sounds to me like you need to connect the lighting live also. They usually have a display wire that connects into the main light switch so it dims if you turn your lights on. If its not connected then it won't light up the display. (Usually yellow and just attach it to any live so it lights bright all the time)

That's normal. The CDR was fitted in cars where the display isn't in the same location than in a 944.

They certainly are - mine blends in really nicely with the cars interior (much better looking than the usual Halfrauds fruit machine specials) and sounds much nicer than what was quite an expensive Alpine unit I had installed previously.
