Becker Grand Prix 7990 wiring harness?

Hi all, just managed to find one of these units but it does not have a wiring harness with it. Any ideas what I will need to fit it into an '87 944 turbo? At present I have a Sony unit that has its own loom that came with it. Pretty sure the ISO connector from the 944 plugs into that. I think the Becker is ISO too but without some sort of loom I will not have sub out and a microphone for the handsfree etc.

sorry it's such an open ended question - just after a few pointers and possible supplier for the bits I might be missing. Thanks

Craig

The Becker will have an ISO connector (or connectors). 944s predate ISO connectors, so youll have to attach your own if someone hasn't already done it.

Hello - your 944 should have the standard pin plug for the stereo and hopefully the lead to power the in-windscreen antenna amplifier. My 91 S2 also had the connector for the mixer and additional speakers required for the "10 speaker" stereo. As mine came from Japan, the standard Sony pin plug was professionally grafted into the harness.

As previously noted, no ISO connectors so you have to map the pin-outs from your stereo head to the connectors on the existing Porsche harness. There is a very handy document called Stereo Faq in the tech section that should allow you to create whatever interface connector you need - here is the link...https://www.porscheclubgb../forum/tm.aspx?m=822684

Thanks Simon and Bruce. I think I've found a source for the sub out mini ISO lead. I'll have a proper look at wiring when I get the new unit.
