Bedford on Tuesday night ?

Any one up for the trip to Bedford on Tuesday night (22nd) after school ?

Feel I should support it as Mr McGirl and the 996 register are behind it but the more the merrier. Happy to meet up for a convoy with any of the MK crew or meet en-route for anyone else.

Evening open from 6 til 9pm as far as I can remember but can't seem to find reference to it online anywhere.

If we pretend there is a street concours there will C5 POR come along ?[:D]

Yes - happy to meet you there or share a drive from mine - whatever suits. I'm on the A6 north of bedford, so from M&B you are going out of the way to get there...a little bit

Graham - will you be polishing the silver bits on your car ?? [;)]

Johnny is eager for support and I commend the event to you - but he preferred people letting him know in advance if possible.

It might be too late now, but a plaque for attending this no charge event was offered, please reply by email preferably to 996@porscheclubgb.com or John McGirl on tel-fax 01234 216978

Steve,

Have a bad work day tomorrow so may be a bit tardy getting there. Don't you work down Bedford way or did I dream it ?

Will call on the mobile when en-route and see it is worth meeting up. Anyone else going ?

Serious absence of 996's talking on this forum - we know you are out there ...

I do work on Bedford, but will be "avec Beirut Taxi", so will have to go home to fetch the white one...

Look 4wd to the call.

Seeya then. STEVE

Would love to accompaniez-vous but am taking the car to Ireland on Wednesday pour le weekend, so have a good one

Nice to see that, despite the weather, R10 were out in force last night with two cars present in Bedford Town Centre !! Steve lived up to his promise and bought eveyone in the region a beer at the local 'wine bar'.

Neither car has seen rain for a long time and for C5POR its probably the only wash it is going to get this year.

Brian - there was an early 'mule' of a VW splitty there that caught my eye as Steve said it was the car of your dreams. Personally I wasn't sure how you would get the family in and out of the strange gull wing doors ? Have attached picture of it for you to stick on your fridge. Steve also said he would forsake a new car if you needed some extra cash to buy it..

Split screen countach? Did it have the original Devon camping interior? [:)]
I noticed the Willys Jeep in one of the pictures and I bet another round of drinks that Stevie D was drooling over it. [8|]

Steve always drools over Willys.
