Beeping noises

So I thought my brakes were fixed after hitting a rock a few weeks ago which seemed to damage either the brake pads sensor or something to do with the ABS. Anyway 40 miles from home today at end of 160 mile trip my stereo was interupted by a loud beeping noise, but the abs or brake pad light didn't come on. In the end I just took the stereo face plate off which stopped the beeping!
Then half an hour after getting home my neighbour knocks on my door to point out all 6 indicator lights are flashing. A trifle bizarre. Any ideas please folks?

Sounds like an alarm or immobiliser issue rather than anything to do with braking system or monitoring - the only beeping thing I am aware of on a 944 is the lights left on - and that is only on USA spec cars... (Though I stand to be corrected on that).

It's not a Pioneer stereo you have fitted is it? They have an anti theft system fitted that acts like an alarm. Many years since I sold these so I can't remember the model numbers that had this feature.

Does the alpine unit pair to your phone with bluetooth? Some of the Alpine units beep if your mobile battery is low.

Its an old cassette alpine, but funnily enough I had just plugged one of those transmitters into my phone so I could listen absolute 80s through the alpine...
Strange

Sounds like alarm module issue but if intermittent fault then probably not worth pursuing until it becomes near constant. But weird if related to old stereo.

Haven't driven today, but all 6 indicators flashing again today at random times...have to keep checking the car.

Feel a bit if a Wally now thinking a beeping noise through the stereo was brake related! My only excuse being that it started last time after I hit that rock and the brake pad sensor light came on at the same time, now appears it was purely coincidental. I read somewhere else that the old alpine stereos can beep if you turn on traffic announcements but there aren't any, so that's a possibility. I pulled the alpine out and while I was at it put in a new old ken wood CD player so hopefully that's fixed it.
