Being a Wuss?

New gen2 turbo is in showroom at my opc awaiting collection. Don't want to collect though because of the weather.

Snow still up high on the lanes in Somerset so the front lip might scoop up detritus. Maybe I'm a wuss though.

Grr tis frustrating. Just wanted to vent steam thanks

Make up a flask and sandwiches, pack a deck chair, and drive down to the OPC. Assemble deck chair in front of your new turbo, pour a cuppa and have a sandwich. Groove quietly in the presence of your new toy in their nice warm showroom till they throw you out. Repeat daily till the snow thaws.

Happy to be of service [;)]

This is precisely the sort of bahaviour my OPC tolerates quite happily from me! [:D]

definitely wait or get them to deliver it. At least if you have it delivered you can look at it in the garage and maybe sit in it with a drink and listen to some music until the weather clears

By the time the weather clears up, it'll only be 4 weeks before you can register the car with a 10 plate ... something to think about.

Its got 4 wheel drive so get them to fit some winter tyres and go pick it up! I've been driving my C2S so I'm sure your turbo will handle it.[:D]

Congratulations on your purchase!

I would personally leave it at the dealership until all the snow and sludge is gone from the roads. You can't have much fun in these conditions and you will just be getting the car dirty and covered in corrosive salt without the ability to hand-wash it off (due to freezing temperatures etc). Then you have the journey home which will include passing lots of other drivers skidding towards you. Mine is staying safe and sound in the garage until things get a bit less hazardous.

Your RS6 should be plenty of fun for you in the meantime!

Definitely not a Wuss, its hell out there. Nightmare scenario however a new Turbo sitting in the dealership at least I can open the garage door and dribble [:D]
