Can anyone recommend a good garage in the locality that can do the timing belts on my 944 S2? Preferably somewhere with fixed price servicing.

Cheers, Mark.

Porsche Independant Specialists Redline Racing (North East) Ltd on the Thornaby Industrial Estate (Stockton/Middlesbrough area) will be able to help.
They can be contacted on 01642 751911. Ask for Simon, Darren, or David.
Many of us in the NE Region use them
Hope this helps

Hi Marky I rang Red Line Racing and got the prices somewhere around £550+ for the full belt service. Someone also recommended Nelson's they are behind Tilotson Motorcycles Yarm Rd Stockton on Skinner St. Tel 01642 670766 he charges £160+ for the Interim £290+ for the 48k full service with a further £40 for the Poly V Belt supplied and fitted
Sounds to good to be true... price wise....I'll pay that and more for my Mondeo daily 'Hack'
Can anyone 'Vouch' for him.... maybe worth a call..... I'll be getting mine done around July and unless any bad press will get him to do the full Monty including the Belt...............[I had a Ferrari 355 that I bought with a Belt service done... after a Superb Summer 'living my dream' of owning one without any cost other than the Fuel....I sold her before it's next Service..... think Belt and full service on that was around £1700 plus and all the extras they would 'find' to do!]

Have had good reports about Nelsons they don`t take your eyes out and are good on the front engine cars

Hi Mark, I always use Tom Ferguson in Newcastle for my 911 servicing and he always had a garage full of 944's and 924's. He's very keen on front engined Porsches and was building a 944 race car for his son last time I was in. Can't recommend him enough. I still call in to talk Porsche with him even though I sold my last 911 a year ago. Still looking for another one though. Good luck.
