Belt Up!

As some will know in the club, I've been toying with the idea of having Porsche guards red seat belts fitted in the Boxster for a while. After locating a pair from Boxster Bits before xmas, I changed my mind and thought that near £300 notes to buy and fit maybe better spent elsewhere. However at the last club meeting, Wendy and I were sitting next to Chris and Pat. We started talking about what Chris had got for xmas for his Boxster, low and behold he said that he had just had red seat belts fitted by D&G. Well, this news set off the little mouse that lives in my head (that’s what Wendy calls my car obsession and forever changing mind). So the next day, I have a look on Boxster Bits site and think, I’ll buy them at the weekend. The weekend arrives and they have been sold. My pet lip was well out as these do not come up for sale very often and I’m not paying £500.00 from the Porsche stealers. After sulking for most of Sunday night, I emailed Boxster Bits to see if they were getting any more red seat belts in. To my surprise they said the guy that bought the last pair has not paid for them yet. So they said that they would contact the buyer to see if he is going to pay for them. In short, he didn't want them any more. As you can see from the pictures below they now reside in our Boxster, and very nice they look to, brighten up the black interior no end. I'm well chuffed!

Cheers to by Gary at D&G for fitting them. Cheers to Chris for making my mind up.

As well as the images below, other photos can be seen on D&G’s Facebook page.

Hi Mark and Wendy

Yes the red seat belts do look great and I should know, cos ours look good too, lol.
But, just to keep your mouse running around in its wheel, did you manage to get the porsche umbrella that fits in the door sill?
Sorry Wendy.

I'm working on that one??

I ordered my "Blue" belts for my 991 from new but now want "Yellow" & Porsche want £1800+
Do you know of a 991 with Yellow belts who want "Blue" ones for a swap?

Try contacting Quikfit SBS and seeing how much they'd charge to provide and fit the new belts.
