----------------------------------
It gives us great pleasure to confirm an event for the 2009 calendar.

With the support of Mark and Claire and the co-operation of our host's management team, arrangements have been made for the Boxster Register to gather at the family home of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland.

This informal event is to be held at Belvoir Castle on Sunday 27th September and is set to be 'a day out with a difference'. It is intended to be exclusively for Boxsters, so that everyone will be able to share their knowledge and experiences directly with like minded people who truly understand the meaning of 'top down fun'.

Since first envisaged last August, many ideas and suggestions have been put forward. It is hoped to select the best of these and incorporate them into the event for the benefit of everyone who attends. More of this later.

Apart from the social aspect, there are many other reasons to attend. First and foremost is the Castle itself, situated on a hill with extensive panoramic views. There are three separate gardens to discover in the vast grounds and a guided tour within the castle is highly recommended with many artifacts that could be considered to be national treasures.

To date, we have secured;-
- exclusive access to the estate via a private entrance,
- privilaged and exclusive car parking on hardstanding directly facing the castle,
- two for the price of one admission tickets inclusive of the castle and gardens,
- an option to take up a group guided tour of the castle at no extra cost, and
- several options concerning catering and/or dining arrangements.

Further details will be revealed in due course. In the meantime, pencil the date in your diary and look out for further announcements both on this forum and in the Porsche Post.

There are updates below on the 15/03/2009, 02/06/09 and 28/06/09
