Just to clarify and highlight this event the club have arranged a visit to Parks Bentley this coming Sunday (27th July)....this event leads on from Brian's post (a few below this one) on the breakfast meet this sunday i.e. after the breakfast meet we will be heading to Parks Bentley circa 11.15/11.30am . I have arranged test drives of the Bentley Continental and for those interested please bring your licences . Refreshments will be available on the day. Parking may be an issue for us as they are in the midst of building the new McLaren showroom - but Im sure we'll manage. Refreshments will be available on the day.

So, this event will lead on from the breakfast meet but I just wanted to highlight this as Id like to drum up decent numbers given Parks generosity in allowing access to their premises.

Please advise if you can attend :)

Regards

Barry
( I'll be there but the red rocket wont as its at OPC Edin getting fettled - while I get fleeced ! lol )

Woo remember doing this a few years ago when I had the 944

That was a great day out test driving Bentleys

Me driving Flying Spur down from Larkhall and family in back discussing which carpet they would like

Dreamers all

Hi Barry,

I`d like to come along to this one. Wouldn`t mind a test drive please. I`ll be bringing a friend too.

Cheers,

Cameron

Can i just add a word of experience. We did this a number of years ago when I was RO - one of the members took the utter piss and hit over 150mph on the test drive - subsequently we were asked that we never come back. The trip computer in the Bentley records the maximum speed reached.

So to anyone having a drive in one of their cars - be respectful and don't spoil it for everyone esle.

looking forward to this. Not that fussed about driving one but would go for a run if someone is out for a test.

Words of wisdom from Greig and I think we should all take heed - given our enthusiasm for cars and having such a prestige dealer on our door step it would be prudent to leave a good impression meaning we can be welcomed again in the future .

See you all tomorrow .

Regards

Barry
