Has anybody purchased this manual and is it any good......before I spend out £75.00 I just want to make sure that it' s worth it.

Many thanks

Vlad

I have the one for the 3.2 Carrera, but assume that it will be similar.

I don' t do a lot of maintenance myself, but find the wiring diagrams much better than the Haynes (they are more conscious of the difference in the models). The general info is better too (details of my air-con, for instance).

It is American, but it does try to be English as well, and there aren' t really all that many differences.

Is it worth the money ? Not sure, but there isn' t, as yet, an alternative.

Hi Vlad I don't think there is one manual that covers everything. I've aquired over the years a Haynes, a Clymer , the Factory Workshop Manual and spec book (complete with innacuracies) and recently Wayne Dempsey's 101 projects book (very useful) I've heard good and bad about the Bentley mostly good . I have something you might be interested in if you email me.
I find a combination of those sources and the web , particularly the Pelican Parts technical forums are a great help.

I've just bought the Bentley SC book and 101 Projects via the Club bookshop.

Both look excellent value and if you combine the 101 Projects book with the Pelican website which has expanded versions of some of the articles with more pictures, I reckon anyone can do a lot of the niggly jobs which otherwise one would have to pay ££££££ an hour to have done.

After all, one of the best things about 911's is that they are so well engineered and many bits are made to be repaired rather than replaced (well, at least the cars up to the end of the 80's are.).

We all know that the services have to be done by the pro's to keep the history right but now I've read it through I'm about to try to sort out the auto heater which actually seems very simple.

These two books at just over £100 are the best money I've spent (other than buying the car!!)
