Hi guys

Is there a good time to contact the above company...I haven't spoken to Bert for many years but don't recall ever having issues contacting him before....I called a number of times last week and left a message but no reply so have tried again today but still no answer....is there a problem that i'm not aware off?

cheers

Pete

The principal problem is that Bert retired and sold up. Now owned by Tom Barker and/or his father.

Oh... I wasn't aware of that?...perhaps i'm using an old number? I will try contacting Tom...if I can remember his details...:)

Cheers

Pete

hmmm.. I just did a search for Tom's company and discovered it's the same number........I'm confused though as I have never had problems contacting Tom before?..guess i will have to try again this afternoon or give up..:(

Pete

Not sure if they're having some problems as I know someone with a 914 who ordered some parts from them recently which turned out to be incorrect and he is having issues with them getting it resolved.

Regards

I had to replace them as tech advisors to the register as I was getting complaints about lack of replies. I got no reply myself, must be at least a year ago.

That was Berlyn, which was taken over by David Baker as I understood it, and was seperate from Augment and Tom?

I saw David a couple of weeks ago at his workshop, which seemed busy enough, but I have tried to contact him this morning with no success. He did mention that they were hoping to move to new premises soon. He took part in the Leukaemia rally over the weekend, so is definitely still about !

that's a shame Paul, I always found Tom to be very helpful....I was trying to order some SWEPCO gearoil but didn't want to order online without asking a few questions first...seems that was a wise move..... I guess will have to look for an alternative gear oil unless it's sold by another company in the UK, does anyone know of another supplier?

cheers

Pete

I got my Swepco along with cv boot kit from Berlyn a month ago ! Arrived within 2 days !

I'm afraid that I gave up..I ordered the SWEPCO from type 911 last night thanks to Colin's head's up, well after their opening hours....I received an e-mail at 10:46 this morning stating that the goods had been dispatched which to me is good service and since I'm trying to get the car back on the road asap i couldn't wait any longer....i'm getting just a tad excited about driving the car again...only a tad though...honest...:)

Gearbox oil? that sounds like one of those "finishing off jobs"... Must be close... Is this the jolt John Simms needs to get Beaky out and about too?

could be Tref....if all goes well the car will be running weekend next...would be this weekend but the chip/board won't be back from the US in time......perhaps we should all make noises at John....:)

FWIW, I called Tom a few months ago. His father did get back to me and was very helpful when we spoke.

I've not had the pleasure of talking to Tom's dad, I have spoken to Tom a number of times , in fact it was Tom who modified my Inter-cooler for me, a very nice guy...I hope all is ok ..

Looks like a new address on the Augment website. Same phone number though.

Address: Unit 3, Willowstone, Gloucester Road, Longhope, GL17 0RA

Cheers
