Best front dampers for the road, on a LWT

I am about to fit new dampers to my stock lightweight and thought that I best use new standard RS ones and have a suitable ride height and alignment set up for the road. I have been told, by one who has fitted many, that the yellow Bilstein V36-59118L and V36-59117R 'Cup' items (Looks the same as the Stock green ones) are the best option for road use (as well as track)
I am keen to get feedback from any who has these.
Advise on front dampers, not wanting to take away any of it's RSness.
How would a new standard/Cup/993RS ones compare?
I was looking for a thread about similar, but couldn't find it.

My Cup car takes off on the cats eyes and I would not recommend these for road use.

The H&R RSR dual spring kit on my Lwt is by far the best for road use.

I would agree, as I had them fitted as well. They are a tiny bit soft for a standard track though, but great for the 'Ring or similarly bumpy tracks. Also, they require a slightly raised height for the chassis otherwise the softer of the two spring is fully compressed, defeating the purpose of two springs.

Surely if it is road and some track use you require, it is time to upgrade to the sublime front struts as fitted to the 993RS.

I am sure he of the race suit and paragon of good taste Carreraboy, will along soon with a suitable endorsement! [:D]

Don't forget if you plan to keep the RS's top mono balls they are a specific size and require matched dampers. Fine if you plan to use a new different top mount but something to add to the cost as dampers usually don't come with them ! Cup dampers for instance are much larger in diameter so they won't fit the RS monoball.
