Best glue for interior trim?

Gentlefolk,

I have a couple of pieces of trim pealing away here and there - the carpet on the door pocket of a late car, the centre console carpet on an early car (yes, I know they all do that!). Any recommendations on type/manufacturer/source of suitable adhesives?

Thanks,

Tref.

I used the Evostik hot melt glue gun to re-seat the roof trims on my 993, worked well without getting into a sticky mess.

I bought the one in Ken's link (on an earlier recommendatio of his) to do the leather reskin on my dashboard and it is great stuff. Far better than anything I've used before - just make sure that you're in a well ventilated area!

Thank you folks, a pot of the high temp stuff ordered. Are there any other recomendations for its use, or otherwise for stickig bits of trim back in place? Cassette box lining is another that needs doing...

The high temp is the best thing for under bonnet pads they also make a spray version i think. Interior trim if its removed spray if its insitu use tin

Top tip.....keep the white spirt handy ..........saves the mad rush to the shed and the panic when it drips onto your new OEM carpet[:(]

Or the wife's new carpet...

I don't want to cause your divorce Ken, but any sight of a 931 yet? [:D]
