Best oil prices

I was in Costco earlier today and saw that they do 2 x 4litre packs of Castrol Magnatec 10w/40 Semi Synthetic Oil for £31.03 Vat inclusive, this is against Opie Oils who want £25.61 for 1 x4litre pack.

So, is it heads up on a very good deal or are there any reasons not to use this particular oil?
 
They also have Redex on offer until 11/10/09 - 4 x 500ml bottles for £10.34 including vat. Each bottle treats 200 litres of fuel.
 
Thats a good offer! To be honest the normal price for Magnatec is over priced for what it is.

Yes, just wasn't sure what the general consensus was with Magnatec that was all. I have used Opieoils before as they are brilliant on price and service hence the Costco price seemed almost too good to be true.
 
It seems like an ok deal but on our engines it is recommended to use 15W40 GTX 'High Mileage'.
 
Ah, they had that too but didn't make a note of the price, will have a look tomorrow.
 
Magnatec is reasonable enough stuff, particularly in a primative engine such as in a 944. I've never really believed the "Magentic" bit, but it's based on Castrol GTX which is fine.
