Best Oil?????

Hi all and Happy New Year

I am sure this has been answered many times before. Which oil would people recommend for a C4S 2003, with 93k on the clock? I understand Mobil 1 is recommended by Porsche, but I see varying opinions on the type - 0/40 fully sun to 10/60 for older engines? Does it really make a difference? What is your poison?

Hi - look for the A40 specification.

In the uk we have fairly modest temperature extremes which I think could give us greater freedom, but a 5w-40 is normally an enthusiasts favourite. The version I use is Mobil 3000.

Synthetic oils will have better shear stability (viscosity stability).

Opie oils is a good source of information and oil!

Harlech recommend Millers (CFS) Nanodrive 10W-50 and use it in their maintenance plan.

I went from Mobil1 to Millers and the car starts more easily, that's for sure.
