Best Performance engine for 2008 is....

I had not heard any rumours about the 3.6 turbo engine which I understand is different from the other model 997's. Is there something I should be looking out for? I have suffered a moderate oil leak from the left turbo return oil feed but nothing else so far (2,500 miles one trackday)

The Turbo is different to the standard 997 block, its based around the GT1 block...
There have been rumours on the www, but as Rob posted we are not aware of any club members having a complete engine failure in their 997.

I thought that was changing with the facelift and GT2 will be the last car with the GT1 block. Have I been mis-informed?
